Washer and dryer repair in Tampa Bay starts with a specific symptom: won't spin, won't drain, won't heat, won't start, making noise. Each symptom points to a different set of components. We diagnose before quoting.

Common washer failures: worn bearings (loud grinding or roar during the spin cycle that gets worse over months), worn suspension rods causing banging against the drum cabinet, water inlet valve failure, door latch or lid switch failure, control board failure. Common dryer failures: burned-out heating element on electric dryers, failed thermal fuse (a safety device that blows when the dryer overheats — the single most common dryer failure), failed igniter or gas valve on gas dryers, worn belt.

For Samsung front-loaders, suspension rods are a recurring failure. The OEM set runs $420 for four. We use an aftermarket set at $45 that's physically heavier built — thicker shaft, thicker spring, rubber sleeve on the spring. A customer had already put in the OEM set. Same problem came back. The aftermarket set went in. No callback since.

The $89 diagnostic applies toward the repair. We work on all major brands front-load and top-load washers, gas and electric dryers. Twelve-month warranty on parts and labor.

When You Need It /

Signs You Need Washer & Dryer Repair

Washer Won't Spin or Agitate

Drive belt failure, lid switch failure (top-loaders), or motor coupling failure are the most common causes. A washer that fills and drains but doesn't agitate is almost always one of these three.

Loud Banging During the Spin Cycle

Front-loaders bang when suspension rods wear out and let the drum contact the cabinet. Top-loaders bang when shock absorbers or suspension springs fail. Both are repair-worthy — not a sign the machine is dead.

Dryer Runs but Clothes Stay Wet

Electric dryer: burned heating element or blown thermal fuse. Gas dryer: failed igniter. A dryer that tumbles without heat is almost always one of these two. Both are one-visit repairs.

Washer Is Leaking Water

Front-loaders leak most often from the door gasket or the drain pump. Top-loaders leak most often from the water inlet valve or the pump itself. We identify the source before recommending a repair.

Dryer Takes Two Cycles to Dry a Load

Two causes: a clogged dryer vent reducing airflow, or a partially failed heating element producing less heat than it should. A clogged vent also causes the thermal fuse to blow. We check both.

FAQ /

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it worth repairing a washer or dryer?

For units under ten years old, most repairs are worth doing. A $200 repair on a seven-year-old washer beats a $600–$900 replacement. For units over twelve years old with major failures (bearings, motor), the math shifts. We'll give you both numbers.

Why does my dryer run but produce no heat?

On an electric dryer: burned heating element or blown thermal fuse. On a gas dryer: failed igniter. Both are common and straightforward repairs. The $89 diagnostic confirms which one.

Why is my washing machine making a loud noise during spin?

Front-loaders: worn suspension rods or failed bearings. Top-loaders: worn shock absorbers or drum support pads. A grinding roar that's gotten worse over months is usually bearings. Banging is usually suspension.

Do you work on both gas and electric dryers?

Yes. Gas and electric dryers. Front-load and top-load washers. All major brands.
