St. Petersburg has some of the oldest housing stock in Pinellas County. Neighborhoods like Historic Kenwood, Old Northeast, and Roser Park have bungalows built in the 1920s–1950s. These homes often have knob-and-tube wiring or early aluminum wiring, and panels rated at 60–100 amps. We handle whole-home rewiring and panel upgrades in St. Pete regularly. Insurers often require documentation of wiring updates before issuing coverage on these properties.
Electrical permits in St. Petersburg go through the City of St. Petersburg Development Services. The city has its own inspection schedule separate from the county. We pull permits and manage inspections for all permitted work.
Duke Energy Florida serves St. Petersburg. The city is also served by Tampa Electric in some boundary areas — we verify the utility before coordinating service entrance work.
