I called and they were able to come out the same day. The problem was diagnosed right away. He asked if I had another fridge I could put the food in so the fridge could defrost overnight. I said I did not but knew people who had room and coolers I could use. He said to not do that. They would come the next day with equipment that could defrost the fridge quickly. They came at the time they said they would both days. They were professional and considerate of my time.

Oven and stove repair in Tampa Bay covers gas and electric ranges, wall ovens, and cooktops. The failure is usually specific: a burner that won't light, an oven that won't reach temperature, a control board that's gone bad, or a bake element that's burned through. We diagnose the exact cause before quoting.

Electric oven not heating: most often a failed bake element or broil element — visible burn marks or breaks in the element confirm it. Both are straightforward replacements. Gas oven not heating: usually the igniter, which draws current to glow hot enough to light the gas. When the igniter weakens, the gas valve won't open. The oven tries to start but no heat comes on. This is also a one-part, one-visit repair in most cases.

Gas burners not lighting: the igniter on that burner has failed or the igniter cap is cracked and not seating correctly. Check the cap first — sometimes it's as simple as repositioning it after a cleaning. If the cap is fine, the igniter is the repair.

An oven that heats but runs too hot or too cold is usually a failed temperature sensor — a $20–$40 part. We confirm with a thermometer before replacing anything.

We work on all major brands: GE, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Maytag, Viking, Wolf. The $89 diagnostic applies toward the repair. Twelve-month warranty on parts and labor.

When You Need It /

Signs You Need Stove & Oven Repair

Oven Not Heating at All

Electric oven: bake element or broil element has failed — check for visible burn marks. Gas oven: igniter has failed and the gas valve never opens. Both are one-visit repairs in most cases.

Gas Burner Won't Light

The igniter cap may be displaced after cleaning — repositioning it sometimes resolves it. If the cap is seated correctly, the igniter itself has failed. A fifteen-minute repair.

Oven Temperature Is Off

An oven that runs 25–50 degrees off temperature is almost always a failed temperature sensor. We verify with a thermometer before replacing the sensor.

Control Panel Unresponsive

A touchpad or control board failure. On some models the touchpad is a separate component that can be replaced without replacing the entire board — we check whether that's the case for your model.

Gas Smell When the Oven Is On

Stop using the appliance. A gas smell during operation means either the igniter isn't lighting the gas promptly or there's a gas valve issue. This needs to be diagnosed before the oven is used again.

FAQ /

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my gas oven not heating?

The igniter is the most common cause. The igniter glows to light the gas, and when it weakens, the gas valve won't open. The oven cycles the igniter but no heat comes on. It's a one-part repair.

Why is my electric oven not heating?

A burned-out bake element is the most common cause. Look for visible breaks or burn marks on the element at the bottom of the oven. Broil element failure is the second most common.

Is it safe to use my stove if the oven doesn't work?

Usually yes — the burners and the oven are separate circuits. But if there's a gas smell, a burning smell, or any sign of an electrical fault, don't use any part of the appliance until it's been checked.

Do you work on high-end brands like Viking and Wolf?

Yes. Parts for premium brands take longer to source in some cases — we'll tell you on the phone if there's a lead time before scheduling the diagnostic.
